Patriots win in overtime in PJHL preseason action

Jack Birket scored the game winner 2:21 into overtime and Mount Forest edged Stayner 6-5 in PJHL preseason play.

The Patriots' Dean Sealy opened the scoring at 16:54 of the first.

Stayner's Matthew Mardens answered at 8:52 of the second. The two teams traded goals and the middle frame ended with Mount Forest up 3-2.

The Siskins tied the game again just 37 seconds into the third. Parker Miller reclaimed the Pats lead with an unassisted goal less than two minutes later. The Siskins scored back-to-back goals in a three minute span to briefly take the lead before Chet Phillip sent the game into overtime.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
