Quality start by Dykxhoorn not enough for Team Canada

Brock Dykxhoorn of Goderich pitched six solid innings for Canada but the bullpen gave up the winning run and Australia beat Team Canada 3-1 at the WBSC Premier 12 in South Korea.

Dykxhoorn allowed two hits and one run while striking out seven.

Logan Wade got the game winning hit off Canadian reliever Scott Mathieson.

Tristan Pompey scored the Canada's lone run of the game.

Australia can qualify for the Premier 12 Super Round if Korea can defeat Cuba this morning.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
