Patriots score a dozen, Barons led by hat trick

The Mount Forest Patriots used a four goal outburst to skate away with a 12-4 win over Goderich in the PJHL.

Forward Blair Butchart got the game rolling with a goal 45-seconds into the first period. The Patriots would end the first with a 4-0 lead.

Goderich got a a couple of power play goals from Matt Bean in the second but the Patriots were just too much. Mount Forest scored four goals in just over a four minute span and rolled on from there.

Shots were 44-43 in favour of the Patriots.

The win gives Mount Forest a five point lead over Wingham for first in the Pollock Division.

In Hanover, Tyson Lina picked up the hat trick which included a short handed goal for a 5-1 Hanover win over Walkerton.

The win keeps the Barons just three points behind Kincardine for fourth spot.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
