High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The Chesley District High School volleyball alumni will hold their annual reunion tomorrow.
The annual event will be held from 9 am until 12 noon in the Cougar Cage at Chesley District Community School. All former Cougar volleyball players, both male and female, are invited to come out, as well as old coaches. Doors open at 9, and there will be games held from 9:30 until noon.
Following the games, everyone is invited to attend lunch at the Mocha Cafe, and there will be prizes given out. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
