More trades as Hanover, Walkerton and Kincardine all make moves in the PJHL

Some more moving and shaking in the PJHL Pollock Division.

The Hanover Barons dealt veteran defender Brock Phillips to the Tavistock Braves, who lead the Doherty Division. Phillips spent parts of his career with Hanover and the Mount Forest Patriots.

Also, the Kincardine Bulldogs got in on the trade action, acquiring Jeremy Davidson from the Walkerton Hawks. After losing their top scorer Jordan Caskenette to a lacrosse scholarship, the Bulldogs needed to add some veteran help, and in 28 games this year, Davidson has 12 points.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
