Mitchell Hawks have new Director of Hockey Operations

The Mitchell Hawks have announced an interesting and exciting hire for their franchise.

The Hawks tweeted on June 17th that they have hired legendary Listowel strongman and community fundraiser Chris Kurz as their new Director of Hockey Operations.

Kurz, who also owns the Dynafit fitness centres in Listowel and Harriston and the Listowel Legionnaires baseball club, has experience in junior hockey, previously working in various roles with the Listowel Cyclones.

Kurz has done many charitable strongman fundraisers over many years to raise money for his community, including pulling zambonis and cars in the Listowel Paddyfest Parade, most recently doing the strongman yoke challenge last year as he carried two giant barrels full of toonies down main street Listowel.

Kurz also recently unveiled his Chris Kurz Fund to establish a community fundraising legacy in partnership with the Stratford Perth Community Foundation.
