Conners roars back at Masters, second round suspended

There was not enough daylight to get everyone's second round in at The Masters.

After the first round was halted by rain on Thursday, the backed up schedule carried into the second round.

Four golfers hold the clubhouse lead at 9-under; Mexico's Abraham Ancer, Australia's Cameron Smith and Americans Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson are tied for the lead.

For Listowel's Corey Conners is was a complete reversal. He carded five birdies on the back nine holes and currently sits in a tie for 27th at 3-under. He has yet to complete his second round having to finish the par-5 eighth hole and the par-4 ninth. His bounce back coming after a 2-over-74 on the first day.

Tiger Woods was even through his second round and sits at 4-under but has to finish another eight holes.

The second round will continue 7:30 a.m. Saturday with the third round scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
