OHL announces delay to season start

The OHL is delaying its start date.

The Board of Governors and General Managers met and made the decision based on the announcement by the province to start a lockdown on Boxing Day.

The OHL was to start on February 4 but training camps won't be able to run before that. They were scheduled to begin in mid-January.

In a release, the league says it will continue to consult and work closely with governments and health authorities to determine potential start dates in the new year. It also re-iterates safety of all of its stakeholders and communities is a priority.

The Owen Sound Attack is also communicating with its fans, asking season ticket holders to watch for further information and details from the box office.
