CHL postpones Top Prospects Game due to COVID-19 concerns

The Canadian Hockey League announced today the postponement of the 2022 CHL Top Prospects Game and Showcase in Kitchener.

The league says in a statement that due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, and all three leagues (the OHL, WHL and QMJHL) postponing games, the event had to be postponed. It was slated to be held this year at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, home of the OHL's Rangers, on February 2nd. The states in the release that "a rescheduled date for the 2022 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will be announced at a later date. Information and ticket details on the rescheduled 2022 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will be provided upon confirmation of the new date."

The event brings together the top rated potential NHL picks for that year's draft to play a game with the talent divided between two squads.
