Curling focus on Port Elgin

Teams will start throwing rocks tonight (Wednesday) at the Port Elgin Chrysler Ontario Tankard presented by Bruce Power.

The first draw starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Plex in Port Elgin.

Draw 1 will include Team Mitchell (Whitby) versus Team Reid (Owen Sound).

The rest of the draw includes: Team Latimer (Whitby) versus Team Kean (Ingersoll) Team Steep (Waterloo) versus Team Camm (Navan) Team Niepage (Guelph) versus Team Mooibroek (Waterloo)

Before the games, the opening ceremony will start things at 6:30 p.m.

The Tankard will continue with three draws on Thursday at 9:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
