Canada begins Men’s Pan American Softball Championship with a win

Canada got their Men’s Pan American Softball Championship in Argentina off to a great start.

The guys opened up with a 5-1 win over Colombia yesterday in eight innings. The game was scoreless through 7 before Canada's bats came to life with a pair of two run blasts and an RBI triple. Canada will now gear up for a game against the host Argentinians tonight at 8 p.m. eastern. In earlier scores on the first day of competition on Sunday, Venezuela defeated Mexico 4-1, Guatemala blanked the Dominican Republic 1-0 but then dropped a 3-0 decision to Cuba. Later games on Sunday will be Colombia against Puerto Rico and Argentina taking on the United States.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
