Local student athlete breaks shot put record

A local athlete has broken an athletic record.

Sacred Heart student Luke McDonald recently broke the previous Intermediate Boys school shot put record from 1982. The record throw back then was 10.10 metres, with McDonald sailing past that mark after he shot 10.47 metres. McDonald is now off to compete at the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board Track & Field event on June 20.

The staff and students at Sacred Heart Teeswater and the entire Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board have congratulated, and continue to celebrate, Luke's incredible athletic achievement.
