Midwestern Ontario well represented on Softball Canada U18 team

Softball Canada has named its 2023 WBSC U18 Men's Softball World Cup Team.

Five local athletes from Midwestern Ontario will be on the roster heading to Hermosillo, Mexico from November 11-19.

Arthur's Nolan Bultena, Wingham's Riley Good, Alex McGillivray of Durham, Danny Scott from Stratford and Joseph Weiler of Hepworth will all represent Canada.

The WBSC U18 Men’s Softball World Cup will feature a total of twelve teams: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Israel, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States and Venezuela. The teams will be separated into two groups for the preliminary round, with the top 3 from each division advancing to the Super Round.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
