Local curling club hosting open house drop-in events

The Port Elgin Curling Club is hosting three open house events.

On Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 19 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., people can come and take part in some drop-in games.

Members of the public are encouraged to come and learn about the game, tour the curling club and register to play or to be a part of the club's Learn To Curl Program. If you'd like to go on the ice, bring a clean pair of shoes and a jacket.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
