Attack lose to defending Memorial Cup Champs Saginaw

The Owen Sound Attack are now winless in their last seven games.

They hosted the Saginaw Spirit on Saturday and ended up losing 6-2.

Neither team were able to score in the first period.

Saginaw would dominate the second period, getting three goals from Nic Sima, Calem Mangone, and Zayne Parekh.

The Spirit added to their lead 35 second into the third period when Sima found the back of the net for his 2nd of the game.

The Attack would score the next two goals. Sam McCue scored his 6th with the only assist coming from Landen Hookey followed by Declan Waddick who got his 4th goal with Alec Leonard and Ben Cormier getting the helpers.

Saginaw would cap the scoring with two late goals from Sebastien Gervais and Michael Misa.

Owen Sound is now 0-5-0-2 in their last seven games.

With the loss, the Attack sees its record drop to 3-8-1-2, while Saginaw moves to 8-5-1-0.

Owen Sound’s next game is on Sunday, November 3, at home against the London Knights.
