Attack lose big to Brantford

The first game in 10 days for the Owen Sound Attack is one they'll want to forget.

They hosted the Brantford Bulldogs on Saturday and ended up losing 8-2.

The first period was dominated by Brantford as they got three goals from Jake O'Brien, Patrick Thomas, and Aiden O'Donnell.

The Attack would cut the lead to one halfway through the second period. The first goal came from Michael Dec, his first career OHL goal in his first career game. Antonio Tersigni and Rafik Varosyan with assists on the play.

Dec would get his first career assist shortly after as Pierce Mbuyi found the back of the net. David Bedkowski with the other assist.

Brantford would end the period with a five goal lead as they would go on to score four goals. O'Brien got his 2nd of the game followed by goals from Marek Vanacker, Nick Lardis, and Joshua Avery.

The only goal in the third period came from Brantford's Lucas Moore.

With the loss, Owen Sound sees its record drop to 9-20-2-3, while Brantford moves to 18-13-3-0.

The Attack's next game is on Monday, December 30, at home against the Guelph Storm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
