Attack start 2025 with loss against Oshawa

The Owen Sound Attack are starting 2025 with a loss.

They were in Oshawa on Wednesday and ended up losing to the Generals 4-3.

It was the Attack who opened the scoring early in the first period when Antonio Tersigni found the back of the net for his 10th goal. Getting the only assist was Easton Mikus.

Oshawa would leave the period with a lead as they got goals from Anthony Figliomeni, his first career OHL goal, and Lauri Sinivuori.

The second period saw each team score once. The first came from Oshawa’s Harrison Franssen with Landen Hookey getting the Attack back within one with his 14th goal. Tristan Delisle got the only assist on Hookey’s goal.

Oshawa restored its two-goal lead six minutes into the third period when Brady Smith scored.

Pierce Mbuyi would get one more for the Attack, his 9th goal, however, that was a close as they would get.

With the loss, Owen Sound sees its record drop to 10-21-2-3, while Oshawa moves to 22-12-2-1.

The Attack's next game is on Friday, January 3, on the road against the Guelph Storm.
