Attack beat Ottawa at home in low scoring affair

The Owen Sound Attack won a low scoring game against the Ottawa 67’s.

They hosted Ottawa on Saturday and won 3-1 thanks to a 30-save performance from Carter George.

It was the Attack who opened the scoring in the first period when Declan Waddick found the back of the net. His 8th goal was assisted by Cole Zurawski and Bruce McDonald.

The Attack doubled the lead less than a minute into the second period. James Petrovski scored his 1st goal of the year from Jake Crawford and Ben Cormier.

Luca Pinelli scored early in the third period to get Ottawa within a goal, however, that’s as close as they would get.

Landen Hookey added an empty netter for his 20th goal to cap the scoring.

George made 15 saves in the third period.

With the win, Owen Sound's record improves to 15-26-3-3, while the 67’s move to 15-24-3-5.

Owen Sound’s next game is on Sunday, February 2, at home against the Brampton Steelheads.
