Attack score four to beat North Bay

North Bay was no match for the Owen Sound.

The Attack hosted the Battalion on Saturday and won 4-1.

Neither team scored in the first period, combining for just 16 shots.

Braedyn Rogers opened the scoring for the Attack roughly three minutes into the second period. His 6th goal was assisted by Pierce Mbuyi and Landen Hookey.

Hookey doubled the lead less than a minute into the third period with his 22nd goal. Getting the only assist was Mbuyi.

North Bay got back within a goal a few minutes later thanks to Jacob Therrien.

However, Easton Mikus scored just 12 second later to restore the Attack's two goal lead. Rafik Varosyan and Ethan Kindree with the helpers on Mikus' 2nd goal.

Hookey added an empty-netter to cap the scoring with goalie Carter George getting the only assist.

George made 23 saves for the win.

With the win, Owen Sound improves its record to 17-27-3-3, while North Bay moves to 18-27-4-0.

The Attack's next game is on Sunday, February 9, at home against the Kingston Frontenacs.
