GOJHL announce Western Conference All-Rookie and All-Star teams

The GOJHL has announced the Western Conference All-Rookie and All-Star teams for the 2024-25 season.

From the St. Marys Lincolns, the first seed in the conference playoffs this year, captain Luca Spagnolo was named to the conference All-Star squad after a great season. In 49 games he had 35 goals and 31 assists for 66 points. He tied the league lead in power play goals with 13 and led the league in game winners with 9, a new Lincolns record. He also had a 20 game point streak during the season.

Also making the All-Star squad was Lincolns goalie Colby Booth-Housego. He played in 28 games with a 23-3-1 record, a 1.71 GAA and a .937 save percentage. He also led the league in shutouts with 6.

St. Marys also featured in the All-Rookie squad. Rookie goalie Nico Armellin made the team after a great debut year, playing in 21 games with an 18-3-0 record. He had a 1.77 GAA and ,938 save percentage with 2 shutouts.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
