Bedkowski, Bennett, and Nansi selected in 2025 NHL draft

Three Owen Sound Attack players were drafted in the 2025 NHL Draft.

Hearing his name called first was defenseman David Bedkowski. He was selected in the third round, 71st overall, by the Buffalo Sabres.

In 35 games for the Attack in the 2024/25 season, Bedkowski scored three goals and added four assists for seven points. He added a goal in four games during the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) playoffs.

The New Jersey Devils drafted goalie Trenten Bennett in the fourth round, 99th overall.

He spent most of the 2024/25 season with the Kemptville 73s in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL), but suited up in six games for the Attack. Bennett played well during his time in the OHL, posting a 2.65 goals against average and a .923 save percentage. Despite this, he was only able to win one game.

The last Attack player to get drafted was Harry Nansi. He was selected in the fifth round, 153rd overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

In 67 games during the 2024/25 season, Nansi scored seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points. He only played two games in the playoffs, adding one assist.
