Chepstow Diamonds to host Provincial Women’s Softball Association qualifying tournament

The Chepstow Diamonds girls softball team will host a big tournament this coming weekend.

The Provincial Women’s Softball Association Qualifying Tournament will be coming to Chepstow from July 18-20.

This tournament will feature teams from all over southern Ontario. The Chepstow team has players aged 13-15 and features players from Chepstow, Cargill, Walkerton, Hanover, Elmwood, Kincardine, and Port Elgin.

Teams playing in the tournament include the host Chepstow Diamonds, as well as teams from Tara, Alvinston, Wyoming, two from Saugeen Shores, and two from Huron-Perth.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
