Protesting Suncor's Cedar Point Project

A retired Plympton-Wyoming resident was staging a second protest of Suncor's Cedar Point wind project at the Sarnia refinery Monday afternoon.

Ed Vanderaa conducted a similar demonstration last Thursday offering staff a flyer outlining his concerns and asked that the company not start construction until an upcoming environmental review tribunal is complete and subsequent legal appeals are exhausted.

Vanderaa says Suncor is doing a disservice to its own employees and their families.

Appeals to Suncor's provincial approval of the project, to be built in Plympton-Wyoming and Warwick Township, will be heard at a tribunal hearing early this month at the Camlachie Community Hall.
