Dangerous Drugs Seized In Two Sarnia Busts

Sarnia police have charged several people after seizing various drugs, including extremely dangerous powdered Fentanyl, in two separate busts.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 300-block Nelson St. around 11pm on Tuesday night.

Police say there were six people inside the residence at the time, and methamphetamine and various quantities of hydromorphone were found.

There were five firearms in the residence, but police say no one was authorized to be in possession of them.

Steven Thomas Tasker, 31, Lindsay May Carroll, 36, and Casey Jayne Adams, 30, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm. Tasker is also facing five counts of possessing a firearm contrary to a probation order.

Three others are charged with possession of a prohibited substance.

Anyone with further information about the firearms is asked to call Sarnia police or Crime Stoppers.

Just before midnight on Wednesday, police stopped a vehicle with three people inside and found 12 g of powdered Fentanyl with a street value of $6,300.

Jeffrey Roger Lefebvre, 43, Trenton Sean Dupuis, 24, and April Mae Brown, 34, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Sarnia police say powdered Fentanyl is an extremely potent-form of narcotic. It is believed that powdered Fentanyl is now also being sold in its pure form and not just mixed in with other drugs.

People will purchase this drug in “points” (1/100 of a gram) and then attempt to administer it to themselves and hope that they do not overdose. If they do overdose, it is hoped that naloxone will be nearby and administered to them by someone.
