Putting a scare into hunger

Some Wyoming students plan to go trick-or-treating for canned goods this Halloween.

As part of the "we are stronger together movement", Jenna Holmes' Grade 7/8 class at Holy Rosary is participating in "We Scare Hunger" Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Principal Margaret Degurse said residents are asked to leave non-perishable food donations at their door.

"They will not be knocking on doors, but they have already left flyers throughout the community indicating that we will be collecting food," said Degurse.

Donations will be given to the Petrolia Food Bank.
