OPP investigating armed robbery in Petrolia (GALLERY)

The OPP Lambton County Crime Unit has released photos of a suspect and a vehicle as it continues to investigate an armed robbery in Petrolia this week.

At about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, police said a masked man armed with a weapon robbed a convenience store and fled the scene in an older model, green pickup truck.

OPP Emergency Response Team members and the OPP Canine Unit were called but the suspect was not found.

Police are looking for a white male, about 6'0" tall, with a medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing a black and grey face mask, a dark-coloured three-button style sweater, dark pants and white Nike running shoes.

OPP haven't said what type of weapon was used or which variety store was robbed, although initial reports from the scene indicated it was the Circle K on Petrolia Line.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Lambton County OPP Crime Unit at 519-882-1011 or 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
