Underground cable failure causes power outage

Bluewater Power crews were busy replacing an underground cable after an outage early Thursday morning.

About 600 customers in the Exmouth Street and Trillium Park area were initially affected when the cable failed at about 3:30 a.m.

President and CEO Janice McMichael Dennis said about 300 customers in the Trillium Park Apartments and town homes lost power.

She said work was expected to take several hours and hoped the power would be restored by suppertime.
