Severe thunderstorms rolled through the Sarnia-Lambton area on Wednesday afternoon.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the region at around 1:30 p.m., and upgraded it to a warning at around 4 p.m.
The warning was lifted for Sarnia-Petrolia and Western Lambton county at around 5:30 p.m., and ended for the rest of Lambton county at around 6 p.m.
Storms coming in from Michigan produced wind gusts of up to 110 km/h and nickel sized hail.
Bluewater Power reported an outage in south Sarnia at around 4:45 p.m., impacting around 2,000 customers. Further outages were possible in severe weather, and the utility's outage map can be found here.
There were also reports of downed power lines and trees Wednesday afternoon.
Residents are urged to seek shelter if threatening weather approaches.
