Additional charges laid in homicide investigation

Another person has been charged in connection to the death of a 25-year-old Windsor man after his remains were found seven months ago on Walpole Island First Nation.

The body of Oyebode Oyenuga was found on March 17. He was reported missing a month prior to the discovery.

Lambton OPP said 20-year-old Zy'Shaun Lawrence of Kitchener was charged on October 15 with accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to a dead body. The arrest was made with help from OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and Waterloo Regional Police.

To date, a 23-year-old Toronto resident, a 28-year-old Windsor resident, a 31-year-old from Windsor, and a 40-year-old Scarborough resident have been charged in connection to the death of Oyenuga. OPP said a fifth person was charged in connection to the investigation but further details were not immediately available.
