Sting invite more fans to the Hive

More Sarnia Sting fans are being welcomed back to the Hive in response to the easing of provincial capacity restrictions.

The hockey club said all season ticket holders will be able attend Friday night's home game versus the Kitchener Rangers and that a limited number of individual game tickets are available as well.

The province has announced seating capacity at larger venues will be eased to 50 per cent as of Thursday, four days ahead of schedule.

Seating capacity for hockey at Progressive Auto Sales Arena is 5,500 people.

The Sting are expecting to open up to 100 per cent capacity starting March 2 when the club hosts Saginaw.

The province plans to end capacity restrictions March 1 if public health and health system indicators continue to improve.

Since January 31, larger venues in Ontario have been capped at 50 per cent capacity or 500 people, whichever is less.
