A group of young girls has donated $4,200 to the Inn of the Good Shepherd following a charity garage sale.
Eight-year-old Ava Salem, eight-year-old Amisha Duggal, and seven-year-old Brooke Reiger organized a garage sale last month. The girls also had help from six-year-old Nora Salem and their parents.

With a contribution from an anonymous donor, thousands of dollars was raised for the local non-profit organization.
The group of girls recently dropped off the donation and took a tour of the facility to learn about the different programs the Inn of the Good Shepherd offers.
"It was a great learning experience for the girls, and it really helped them see the importance of their contributions," said Parveen Duggal in an emailed statement.
The girls want to continue helping others and are planning another event in August.
