Petrolia launches revitalization survey

A survey has been launched as part of a downtown revitalization project aimed at boosting the "overall well-being" of Petrolia.

The Town of Petrolia and Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP) are seeking input from residents in regards to the town's downtown.

"We have been trying to look at ways to support our downtown and to further [lower] vacancy numbers," said Director of Marketing, Arts, and Communications Laurissa Ellsworth.

"Our program coordinator with SLEP will take all of the data and create an aggregate for us so that we can understand what good next steps to benefit the downtown would be."

The short survey includes questions about parking, beautification, downtown events, and business hours.

The survey will be available until the fall and can be completed online.

Alternatively, residents can pick up a paper copy at the municipal office or find the survey through the Petrolia Connection newsletter.
