COVID cases in Sarnia-Lambton trending lower

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton continues to trend lower.

In its weekly update Wednesday, Lambton Public Health reported 61 new lab confirmed cases of the virus, with a daily average of nine cases. That's down from 70 new infections reported last week.

Since the start of the pandemic there have been 14,226 confirmed cases in Sarnia-Lambton and 163 related deaths.

There are four area long-term care homes dealing with active outbreaks, and seven COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health.
