Jr. Sting captain to represent Ontario at Winter Games

The captain of the Lambton Jr Sting's U16 team will represent the province at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in PEI.

Jack Nesbitt, 15, was one of 20 players named to Team Ontario Wednesday after he took part in an evaluation camp alongside 39 other players last month.

In 16 games this season, Nesbitt has scored 10 goals and 21 assists, good enough for the team lead in points. The Sarnia native also leads the club in penalty minutes with 28.

The Canada Winter Games, held every four years, showcases the top under-16 hockey talent in the country. This year's event goes from February 18 to March 5.

Team Ontario will gather for a pre-tournament camp February 13 to 17 in Kitchener.
