Strangway Centre hosts open house

The Strangway Centre will host an in-person open house for the first time in two years.

Residents can drop by the facility, at 260 East Street N., on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. Pre-registration is not required.

Recreation Superintendent Shelley Kern said it's an opportunity to highlight the programs offered to adults 20 and up and to also answer questions people may have.

Registration for winter programming opened on December 7.

"Some of our programs are full but we're promoting anything that has open spaces," said Kern. "We have, hopefully, something for everybody."

There are also several drop-in programs offered at the centre throughout the year.

Further details about those programs can be found on the city's website.
