Fewer local COVID-19 cases reported

Lambton Public Health has reported a slight drop in the average number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases.

An update to the COVID-19 Surveillance Report was posted to the health unit's website Wednesday afternoon.

Since last week, there have been 19 new lab-confirmed cases. The average number of cases per day over the last seven days also dropped from four to two.

The local death toll remained unchanged from last week at 176.

As of April 4, there were fewer than five COVID-19 patients at Bluewater Health.
