Latest shares of casino revenue doled out to Sarnia and Point Edward

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has issued first quarter payments to Sarnia and Point Edward for hosting gaming facilities.

The City of Sarnia received a payment of $90,351 for hosting Gateway Casinos at Hiawatha Horse Park. The village got $375,814 for hosting Starlight Casino.

The latest payment is for the period of April 1 to July 30.

The city has received over $27.3 million from the OLG since Gateway opened in 1999, while the village has been paid $50.8 million since April 2000.

The first quarter for Gateway Casinos was plagued with a cyber security breach forcing its gaming facilities across the province to close for about two weeks in April.
