SL Chamber warning members of email scam

The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce is advising its members about an email phishing scam making the rounds.

Marketing and Events Coordinator Robin Cooke said they've received two reports of members being contacted by ChamberofCommerce.com (digitaleadhub), and Steve Murray (businessbox-s.com).

One email states that they work closely with chambers, and the other is selling Chamber membership information.

"I want to assure you we do not sell Chamber member's info and if you would like fellow members contact details, we direct you to our website and the member directory for the correct contact details," said Cooke.

Businesses are being urged not to provide any details to these companies, as it's believed they are spam.

They do not come from an affiliate, partner, or programs associated with the Chamber of Commerce.

Those with questions are asked to contact the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce at 519-336-2400.
