After nearly two years of construction, the school bell will ring for the first time ever at Sarnia's new Catholic elementary school.
Gregory A. Hogan on Rapids Parkway officially opens to students on Monday, March 18.
The St. Clair Catholic District School Board had hoped to secure possession of the school last December, but that was pushed back due to delays in getting some essential building materials.
The $24 million project, funded by the Ontario Education Ministry, includes space for 659 pupils.
This spring, interior renovations are slated to begin at the former Gregory A. Hogan school on Hogan Drive.
When it reopens in September 2025, it will be the new Sacred Heart Catholic School.
