No charges after serious crash near Sombra

Lambton OPP has released more details about a serious crash last week on Bentpath Line that resulted in one person being airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said a single-vehicle collision was reported in St. Clair Township on Friday, June 7, just before 6 a.m.

The driver, a 59-year-old St. Clair Township resident, was taken to a local hospital by EMS and then transferred to another facility by Ornge air ambulance.

OPP said the driver is expected to recover from their injuries

Bentpath Line was closed for several hours between Highway 40 and Indian Creek Road for the investigation. Police said no charges will be laid.
