Here’s what’s open and closed on Canada Day Monday, July 1, 2024

-Post Office: Closed, No Mail Delivery

-Sarnia Transit:- Buses running on a special schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Service is free.

Special bus service to Canada Day celebrations at Canatara Park from Northgate Terminal from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Shuttles running every 30 minutes from Northgate Terminal to Centennial Park from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. NO Service between 9:45 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.

-Banks & Trust Companies:- Closed Monday

-Beer and LCBO stores:- Closed Monday, except the Confederation Street Beer Store, open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

-Wine Rack:- open

-Cannabis stores:- Some open with limited hours

-Stores:- Most closed Monday including Lambton Mall

-Government offices (Muni. Prov. Fed.):- Closed Monday

-Garbage collection:- Normal (Sarnia)

-Schools closed for summer

-Blackburn Media Sarnia Offices:- Closed

E-bike ride sharing pilot project to launch in Sarnia

Cory Tukeli of Current Inc. proposed the public-private partnership during a city council meeting on April 29, asking members to support the pilot project and designate nine areas to be used as parking locations.
