UPDATE: Noticeable vehicle used in Point Edward theft

Lambton OPP are searching for a distinct looking pickup truck that was used in a theft from a Point Edward business.

Police said it happened at around 1 a.m. July 21 on River Front Street, in the area of Bridgeview Marina and Purdy's Fish Market.

A suspect in a navy blue pickup truck, with a red hood and chrome toolbox, allegedly stole a powerboat charging cord, valued at $2,000, and drove off.

The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build who was wearing a grey sweater.

The investigation is ongoing.

*In an update released on July 28, Lambton OPP said the individual had been identified.
