Sarnia Draft Capital Budget

Twenty-four projects are recommended in Sarnia's draft 2015 capital budget totaling just over $19.3-million.

The budget includes $2-million for phase two remediation of Centennial Park, $7-million in work to the Bright's Grove Lagoons and Green Street Pump Station and $3.3-million for watermain replacement in the city.

Finance Director Brian McKay says he left out two very large projects, pending senior government funding approval.

McKay says the Waterworks project is $4.5-million while the Bedford Lagoons project is $45-million.

He hopes to have a response to the city's application soon. If funding is secured the 2015 capital budget will be adjusted.
