Lambton College Cracks Top 20

Lambton College's research and development component is garnering high praise nationally.

The college has been ranked 17th on a recently released list of the Top 50 Research Colleges in Canada by Research Infosource Inc.

College President Judy Morris says the rankings are based on survey data and financial statements.

Lambton's research revenue in 2013 was $3.1-million, up 29 per cent from 2012 with help from senior government and industry.

Lambton College's Applied Research Department was formed in 2007. Since then, the college has received more than $12.5-million in funding.

Currently, there are 34 active research projects happening at the college with direct involvement of 53 students, graduates and research assistants.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
