Strathroy Man Charged Following Crash

A Strathroy man is charged after a single vehicle crash this morning on Mandaumin Rd.

Lambton OPP were conducting a R.I.D.E program on London Line and Mandaumin Rd. around 2am when a GMC vehicle approached.

Police say the vehicle avoided the OPP officers and headed north on Mandaumin Rd. before rolling into a ditch at Michigan Line, and caught fire.

The driver managed to get out of the vehicle safely, and no injuries are reported.

OPP say breath tests indicated the 20-year-old was over the legal limit.

He is scheduled to appear in court December 1 to answer to the charges of impaired driving, and driving while over the legal limit.
