6th Annual MADD Voluntary Tolls

Mothers Against Drunk Driving Sarnia-Lambton is conducting its sixth annual voluntary toll in conjunction with its annual Red Ribbon campaign.

President Natalie Andrews says Lambton College students, MADD members and police volunteers will be positioned at several retail locations across the city and county collecting donations.

As of November 1, 2014, Sarnia police laid 60 alcohol-related charges, up from 47 laid during the first ten months of 2013.

In Lambton County, Provincial Police are reporting 85 impaired driving charges by October 1, 2014. That's compared to 78 in the first nine months of 2013.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
