Successful Weekend For MADD

Mothers Against Drunk Driving Sarnia-Lambton raised $12,560 through its sixth annual Voluntary Tolls held over the weekend in Sarnia, Corunna, Petrolia and Wyoming.

The money stays in the community to educate the public and decrease the number of impaired driving incidents.

This year, 35 students, police officers and MADD members took part in the initiative in conjunction with MADD's Red Ribbon Campaign aimed at raising awareness about impaired driving.

MADD will again be collecting donations at the December 6 Santa Claus Parade and at the Sarnia Legionnaires game on December 18.
