A Need For Better Tourism Marketing

Members of County Council believe there's room to improve the way Lambton markets its tourist attractions.

During a morning committee meeting in Wyoming, councillors identified different areas that could be better promoted.

Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley says moves are afoot to build a brand in Lambton.

The Oil Heritage Museum was mentioned as another key area that could benefit from improved marketing.

Bradley adds remediation of Centennial Park should help drive tourism in the city's downtown.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
