No Flooding Expected

Despite about 22mm of rain (nearly an inch) and the equivalent of 10mm of snow melt in Sarnia-Lambton, the St.Clair Region Conservation Authority isn't too concerned about flooding.

Manager of Water Resources Girish Sankar isn't anticipating any major problems but says minor flooding is possible in farm fields and flood plain areas.

The St.Clair Region Conservation Authority includes the Sydenham River watershed and smaller watersheds draining directly into southern Lake Huron, the St.Clair River and northeastern Lake St.Clair.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has issued a safety bulletin advising of high flows and unsafe watercourse banks.
