Local EMS Helps Increase Defibrillator Access

Thanks to some award winning fundraising, 11 organizations in Lambton are getting public access defibrillators (PAD's).

Local EMS staff raised over $15,000 for the devices through the Becel Heart and Stroke Ride for Heart.

PAD Coordinator Jon Cann says the defibrillators are especially important in rural areas of the county.

Cann says the easy to use defibrillators are operated by a simple button push. Over 70 PAD's have been placed in the community through the program.

For their efforts, the County EMS team was presented with the Team Fundraising Award
